About nasc

I’m Cathy - a qualified breathwork facilitator, sound healing practitioner, and lifelong student of how we relate to ourselves and each other.

For 9 years, I lived with medically unexplained symptoms (MUS) while managing a job in Tech. I was tired of hitting dead ends with doctors, so I started to learn how to nourish my body through movement, nutrition and mindfulness practices.

Despite eating all the right foods, taking supplements, getting exercise & sunlight, grounding, journalling and practicing yoga, my immune system seemed to be working against me. I felt completely disconnected from my body and very alone at work. I didn’t know how to explain what was happening and I became too embarrassed to continue taking sick days. Instead, I was underperforming.

Eventually, that disconnect caught up with me and I burnt out.

That’s when I started to learn about my nervous system. The missing piece in my unexplained ill health.

That experience changed how I see wellbeing.

I created nasc for three reasons:

  1. I am so in love with this work

  2. To spread awareness of the impact of stress and dysregulation on our health.

  3. To offer support to those who are feeling lost in the mainstream medical system.

Through Breathwork, Sound Healing and nervous system education, my mission is to empower people to live well.

  • What I liked about Cathy’s workshop was that she was very down to earth. she explained different concepts of breath and breathwork and besides that her presence is so calm and soothing there is no resistance to get into a complete relaxed state which I don’t find it so common with every breathwork practitioner. The sound healing after the breathwork was a pure delight. It really calmed down the mind and body and allowed to integrate.

  • Cathy guided us through such a unique and calming Breathwork session. She combined the best elements to create a safe space - a welcome meditation, explanation, guided breathwork followed by an integration with sound healing. It was an hour of complete bliss and I can't wait to do it again.

  • As a virgin breathworker your instructinos were so clear and helpful, I could really visualise what I was supposed to be doing and the tip to direct our breath towards areas of tension really worked for me! Almost felt like a massage to the quad after a tough run that morning. The soundbath felt transcendental also - did not expect to have such a colourful experience. Perfect Saturday afternoon activity.

  • Cathy guided me through a 1:1 breathwork and meditation session that felt both deeply supportive and expertly held. She began by clearly explaining the benefits of breathwork and how it relates to the autonomic nervous system. She then led me through a beautifully guided meditation using sound bowls and gentle touch intentionally focusing on different areas of the body after I shared that sound and touch help me access a meditative state. The breathing was incredibly releasing. Throughout the entire session Cathy struck the perfect balance of compassion and professionalism - I felt completely supported at every moment. I left feeling lighter, calmer and genuinely reset. Cathy also sent me away with breathing exercises tailored to my own breathing patterns which I have found so valuable. I couldn't recommend her highly enough.
